When the word “accountability” is spoken, most people immediately think of shame and blame. This is not terribly surprising, given the way the term is used in most public discourse these days. But this was not the original intention of the word; indeed, its original usage was intended to provide an opportunity for someone to give a factual account of circumstances and events—without any hidden intention of finding fault or assigning blame.
In this episode of Soul Empowerment, we hope to inspire you to use a different form of accountability—what we are calling self-accountability—as a tool to help you keep yourself aligned with who you really are and why you are here. So make a point to join the Soul Empowerment team and renew your relationship with what it means to apply accountability to your all aspects of your life.
At its core accountability is a life growth tool to help us understand what’s behind and within us (our shadows) when we don’t complete or follow through with our intended agreements and commitments with others and ourselves.
Learning to use this tool with compassion and love instead of shame and blame will help you uncover, heal and integrate aspects of your shadow self that emerge from old beliefs and patterns that potentially stop you from deeper growth in your life.
Here are some of the takeaways you can expect:
* What self-accountability is and is not
* The true purpose self-accountability and how to integrate it into your life.
* Witness a real accountability process to help you understand and apply what you learned in your journey of agreements.
* Leave with a renewed sense of how to use accountability as a tool for greater life mastery.
